Do you use the Red Deer City Bus to get to and from RDC? The Students’ Association has a special student rate with Red Deer Transit! Come up the SA Office for your card, information on pricing, and local routes!
If you would like to join the team, drop off a copy of your resume, a cover letter stating your availability, and which area (the Far Side Bar, the Far Side Grill, or The Lift) you would like to work at to the SA Office. Keep an eye on our Employment page for other SA opportunities.
The Students Benefit Plan was approved by student referendum, making it a requirement of full-time enrollment at Red Deer College. Students with approved equivalent coverage may opt out of the plan by filing a waiver form by the specified date. More information can be found on the Health & Dental Plan page or by contacting the Benefits Office at 403-356-4981.
In collaboration with the Student Connect Centre, the Students’ Association provides an on-campus Food Bank. Students wanting to access the Food Bank must contact the Student Connect Centre at 403-342-3254 to receive a referral. Monetary and non-perishable food donations are always welcome. learn more…
The Cultural Activities Trust Fund, better known as the CAT Fund, is a committee consisting of RDC students and faculty. The purpose of this committee is to help fund cultural events on campus. To find out more about this special cultural fund, click here or phone the SA at 403-342-3200.
Once a month, the Students’ Association, in collaboration with a local law office, provides free legal service and notary for all students. For more information regarding dates and bookings, please contact the Students’ Association office.
Covid-19 Update – For the 2020/2021 Academic year, Free Legal Help will be offered online and will be accessible during business hours Monday – Friday.
A faxing service is available in the Students’ Association office. Charges apply. Document scanning is also available– be sure to bring your USB stick.
All posters on the Students’ Association bulletin boards must be approved at the office. As many as 20 posters can be posted– restrictions may apply. Advertising for non-college events and commercial ventures is prohibited on college property and bulletin boards.
The Students’ Association books all rooms & tables for all recognized student groups. Additionally, the Association is responsible for booking all on-campus tables, whether it’s a College department, a group of Red Deer College students, or a class. For all room and table bookings, we require a minimum of one week’s notice. To book, simply complete the form below and submit.
