Health and Dental

The Students’ Association is proud to offer an affordable Health & Dental Plan for full-time RDC students.

Health and dental plans were approved by student referendum making them a requirement of enrolment at RDC. The cost of the plans is included in your fees, provided you meet the eligibility requirements for enrollment.

If you have other extended health and/or dental coverage, you are given one opportunity a year to waive the Student Benefits Plan. The required waiver form (available at the Cashiers’ Office, online, by fax, or in person) must be completed and submitted to the Students’ Association of Red Deer College Student Benefits Office by the opt-out deadline.

This year, your Students’ Association has implemented mywellness: an e-Mental Health program that moves students from awareness to action. mywellness was specifically developed with the Canadian post-secondary student in mind and focuses on the full cycle of support including awareness, education, and care:

  • Awareness:  Information events and on-campus marketing campaigns

  • Education:  Toolbox, Online Mental Health Assessment, Personal Action Plan

  • Care:  Online counselling and referrals to resources both on campus and in the community

Deadline

The deadline to waive, re-activate or add family to the Student Benefits Plan:

  • Students starting Fall 2019,
    SEPT. 16, 2019 at 4 p.m.
  • Students starting Winter 2020,
    JAN. 20, 2020 at 4 p.m.
